These are made of a light blue poly material that allows sun light to penetrate and can accelerate photosynthesis.  They are great for protecting against deer, elk, and rabbit browse.  They can be anchored with the use of a stake.

Plat Books show the ownership of property within our county.  The books provide property lines and names of individual owners.  They also show acreage of these properties.  Subdivisions are also labeled.

The Boone County Conservation District (BCCD) also sells topographical maps by the quads of Boone County. These maps can provide you with townships, range, and section lines; location of some ponds; location of rivers, lakes, and streams; schools, churches, and cemetries. It is also marked with highways, roads, and trails.

The District is now selling filter fabric through our office.  This fabric can be used in heavy use areas around water facilities for example.  This fabric will help to prevent erosion and prevent areas from becoming muddy.  These areas can then be covered with rock or gravel.  The filter fabric is 15 feet wide, and we can cut the length according to the customers specification.  This fabric is also great for those who have large flower beds or a large landscaping project this spring.
